Renaissance1Turtle Creek Boulevard between Cedar Spring and Hall Street remains closed in both directions with police and fire rescue crews on the scene.
Fire Rescue is still trying to determine if anyone was trapped in the parking garage of the Renaissance Towers when a portion collapsed last evening.
Police are working with investigators to find if the collapse was caused by the heavy rain or if material related to pool renovation at the property on the top level contributed. Residents from the building report everyone is accounted for. About 1,100 people live in the two towers making it one of the largest condo complexes in North Texas.
Police wouldn’t say how long Turtle Creek Boulevard will remain closed. The closure should not affect the Halloween party several blocks away on Cedar Springs Road this evening. Parking is already being blocked off on the street that will completely close to traffic at about 5 p.m.
