James Talarico, the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate, is “whacked out” and “an insult to Jesus,” according to Donald Trump, whose TDS (that’s transgender derangement syndrome, by the way) got the best of him when he called into Fox News host Brian Kilmeade’s radio show, according to reports by LGBTQ Nation.

Kilmeade asked Trump had decided whether to endorse Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton or incumbent U.S. Sen. John Cornyn in the runoff to determine which Republican will face Talarico in the November general election. Trump wouldn’t say which Republican he is going to endorse, or if he intends to endorse at all. But he did take the chance to attack Talarico for supporting transgender people and trans rights.

Apparently referencing Talarico’s 2021 statement during a House committee meeting on transgender student athletes — in which he said, “God is both masculine and feminine and everything in between. God is nonbinary”  — Trump declared that Talarico is “whacked out, with his six different forms of gender.” And that, he added, is “good news” for whichever Republican wins the primary runoff.

“The insult to Jesus… I mean, such an insult…. He is so woke,” Trump said. “He’s beyond woke. He’s actually, I think he’s grossly incompetent… When you see what this guy said about gender and about other topics.”

Talarico has consistently opposed legislation targeting trans youth, supports “dignity and equality” for trans people, saying “trans children are God’s children, made in God’s own image.”

And during his Senate campaign this year, Talarico has described the attacks on the trans community as “invented culture-war scares” intended to district from actual issues, like the economy.
