Splash Days. Summer is almost over (though as we all know, in Texas it can stretch on past Halloween). But this could be your last three-day weekend to enjoy the joys of watersports (the non-NC-17 kind). So a quick day trip down to Austin for the annual Splash Days is an excellent idea. It starts on Friday with the official (free!) welcome party at Rain on 4th from 10 p.m.–3 a.m. The Saturday main event, Splash Dance (what a feeling!) will be at Highland Lounge with DJ Roland Belmares spinning. And of course, on Sunday turn up at Hippie Hollow on Lake Travis with a party boat docked for your enjoyment. And with all the great rains Texas received in the spring, the lake is practically full for the first time in years. SplashDays.com.
