Representatives of the TJX Companies – the Massachusetts-based parent company of TJ Maxx, Home Goods and Marshall’s stores, recently presented a check for $2,500 to Resource Center Dallas in support of the Center’s workforce development programs. In June 2008, the company re-chartered its LGBT employee group as "PRIDE — A TJX Resource Group for Gays, Lesbians, Bisexuals, Transgendered People and Friends." In spring 2009, The TJX Foundation presented the PRIDE Committee with grant money to assist LGBT organizations across the nation.

Very notable of TJX Companies….
I wonder, however, if they know just exactly what kind of “workforce development” that RCD promotes………… the support and protection of discriminatory corporations whose executives sit on the RCD board and who give substantial sponsorship dollars to the center.
And let’s not forget the Cox Business School either where almost all Dallas GLBT organizations and non-profits hire their “executive directors” from these days…..
So Ms. Cox, is that money going to those in the community who desperately need it or is it going to fund some other program to hire more elitist MBAs and JDs into the non-profit sector ???
Doesn’t the directors at RCD know anything other than greasing palms with corporations and forever getting their pictures in the paper ???
