Directed by Terry Martin, The Mystery of Irma Vep-A Penny Dreadful is a spoof of the classic melodrama by gay playwright Charles Ludlam. A host of gothic melodramatic characters come to wacky life onstage – from sympathetic werewolves to Egyptian mummy princesses. As Lord Edgar Hillcrest and Lady Enid try to solve the mystery of Irma Vep, they find that life is anything but normal in their spooky English manor house.

This hilarious comedy satirizes everything from Hitchcock’s Rebecca and Victorian Melodrama to The Mummy’s Curse.
