Gay-themed and -interest shows dominated the annual Column Awards, with wins for best production of a musical and director of a musical (Equity and non-Equity) for Dallas Theater Center’s “The Who’s Tommy” (Kevin Moriarty) and ICT MainStage’s “Nine” (Michael Serrecchia). Best production and direction of a play (Equity) went to Uptown Players’ “Bent,” whose director, Bruce R. Coleman, also won for best new play for his “Look What’s Happened to Pixie DeCosta!” There were also wins for “The Facts of Life: The Lost Episode,” “The Light in the Piazza” and “Zanna, Don’t!”
