The American Red Cross is in serious need of supplies, volunteers and financial support following the deadly floods that have devastated the state. The humanitarian aid group estimates their efforts will cost more than $5 million in Texas alone to assist those in need.ARC_485_Left_2L
The Tedeschi Trucks Band, led by Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi, has offered  support with a block of reserved $29.50 tickets at the band’s concerts from now through July 7. Ticket proceeds will go directly to the American Red Cross Regional Office in Dallas that is leading the statewide efforts.
The 11-piece blues-rock band band is currently on the “Wheels of Soul” Tour with Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings and special guest and native Texan, Doyle Bramhall II. They’ll perform in Dallas on Saturday, July 11 at Gexa Energy Pavilion.
“We’re proud to do our part to support the American Red Cross, and we encourage everyone to join us in making a donation to help support their important relief efforts in Texas and beyond,” Trucks and Tedeschi said in a joint statement.
“I’ve been a fan of their music, and now I’m a fan of their partnership! As we move from response to recovery, there is a clear need for the support of our friends to make sure that we can continue providing those much needed cleaning equipment and meals, as well as linking those impacted with the resources they need to rebuild,” T.D. Smyers, chief executive officer, American Red Cross North Texas Region, said in a statement.
