For your New Year’s dining excursions, these places have you covered both night and day.
Stephan Pyles’ newest restaurant, Samar, will be open for two seatings (starting at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.), from $85 to $125, with a menu designed by Pyles to welcome in 2010.
Chef Blythe Beck, pictured, has come up with an elaborate seven-course meal for the Bubbles and Baubles dinner on Dec. 31 at Central 214 for $65 (plus $35 with wine pairings). And you can enjoy the 50 percent off "Cinderella rate" for a stay that night at the Hotel Palomar.
Dragonfly’s New Year’s Eve dinner has both three- and four-course options, with early and later seatings. The meals are priced at $75 (5:30 p.m. seating) and $150 (7 p.m.). The latter also includes admission to the Bubbles and Babes party hosted by Hotel Zaza — or hit the party itself for $75.
Nana at the Hilton Anatole will also host two seatings for its New Year’s Eve dinner, as well as a buffet in the bar. They will be open for regular dining on Friday.
Grapevine Bar offers a dinner buffet for it’s pre-2010 bash. Starting at $65, guests will get drink tickets, the buffet at 8 p.m., party favors and a shuttle at 1 a.m. to the presidential suite at a local hotel (you don’t get the hotel information until you purchase your ticket; the price of the room is not included in the ticket cost).
Steel offers a celebratory four-course menu in two seatings priced at $55 and $85 with the latter including a champagne toast.
Head to the ilume for Dish’s New Year’s Eve dinner and bash. Festivities start with specials served at 5:30 p.m. the party gets going at 11 p.m. where the restaurant becomes a lounge with a guest DJ, champagne toast and light hors d’oeuvres. The party has a $20 cover.
For those who want to recover from the Dec. 31 parties, Cyclone Anaya’s offers a "breakfast through brunch" menu from 11 a.m.–3 p.m. on Jan. 1.
