Bobby Jack Singleton just took the stand in the penalty phase of his trial. Singleton declined to testify Wednesday afternoon, but the judge agreed to reopen testimony this morning after Singleton apparently changed his mind. “I was wrong and I know I was, and there’s no way I can really make it right. I wish I could. I am truly sorry for what I did,” Singleton told the jury moments ago.
I suppose when you’re looking at 30+ yrs, you can attempt to find remorse, but is it an apology for getting caught? Most likely!
Do you have any estimated times for what’s left of the trail and the time frames?
I was able to come for yesterday afternoon and might be able to leave work for an hour or two after lunch today.
