On December 28, a Los Angeles entertainment honcho shared a text message with me that Rourke had sent him: “Look seans an old friend of mine and i didnt buy his performance at all—thought he did an average pretend acting like he was gay besides hes one of the most homophobic people i kno” [sic]
Hmmmmmmm.
Somehow, I just can’t bring myself to put much stock in Mickey Rourke’s opinion. Besides, I am not even convinced that really is Mickey Rourke. I mean, he sure doesn’t look the way I remember him looking. And even Danny Bonaduce looks more sober and lucid than Rourke does these days.

Maybe Sean WAS homophobic. He’s come around. Seen the light, so to speak.
Sean’s performance in MILK was flawless and worth an Oscar.
I don’t believe it. Sean Penn is a wonderful award winning actor and progressive peaceful activist. He is a big supporter of Congressman Dennis Kucinich, who among all of the presidential candidates in 2008 and 2004 had the best record in terms of support for equality for TLBG people. He rocks!
Marie, oh, I too hope Penn isn’t a major homophobe, probably because I can’t help but having the most massive crush on him, but…while he may be a peace activist, he’s far from a PEACEFUL activitst! Somehow that hothead charm shines, but he’s far from the easiest guy to live with, I suspect!
