All season long, Denton’s Daniel Lewis has been the most consistently entertaining and likeable contestant on Bravo’s reality series “Shear Genius.” We were all set to enjoy seeing him represent the Metroplex in the finale. Then tonight, in an “avant garde” competition, he finally hit the wall, getting booted before the big showdown (and let’s just say the decision was not a popular one — or deemed a correct one — here at the manse).
Still, with Daniel’s unlikeable doppelganger Charlie and butch Dee still in the thick, there’s a 2 out of 3 chance a queer cutter will win.
You no doubt saw Jaclyn Smith tear up when she broke the news to Daniel. There wasn’t a dry eye in the Garinn household, either.
W00T! I agree, Miss Tammy. That no-talent hack has FINALLY been given his due. Now, I hope they set their sites on Jarell, Suede and Blaine. We all know Korto’s gonna win it. Yeah, I said it.
I agree completely! I think Charlie should have been sent packing a long time ago.
Daniel has always been my favorite on that show, and not just because he is from our area.
But hey, thank God they finally got rid of that whiny-ass Daniel over on Project Runway!
AMEN! Dump Charlie! I absolutely adore Daniel and hope I get to meet him sometime. He’s charming, upbeat, sweet. It was precious to see Jaclyn getting teary at his exit. If Charlie wins, it’s an embarassment to our community. I’m rooting for Nicole or Dee.
I agree about Charlie — a total embarrassment! But can we all agree that Jaclyn Smith is a flawless beauty? She’s ageless! She must have made a deal with the devil!
Charlie is a bitter, back-stabbing bitch. And frankly I don’t think he is really talented at all. He backcombed that woman’s hair into a rat’s nest and they called it avant-garde. Hell, if that’s all it takes, I could get up in the morning and stick a plastic flower in my hair and I would be avant garde!
And Jon, you are right about Miss Jaclyn. She is and always has been stunning. I think my wife got it right about her: Instead of heading to the plastic surgeon to try and stave off aging and ending up looking like some weird cartoon mannequin thing, she has allowed herself to age gracefully and beautifully. She looks real. Not plastic
Beyond that, she’s also gracious and dignified. She strikes me as a genuine lady. Her presence on the show has certainly given it an air of sophistication. And those gams! She’s in great shape from head to toe. As for Charlie, he’s like so many of these reality-TV stars who are more determined to be a character than to have character.
