A Dallas man is hospitalized at Parkland Memorial Hospital after being injured Tuesday night, Dec. 30, in a hit-and-run accident near the intersection of Throckmorton Street and Cedar Springs Road.

According to a GoFundMe page organized on his behalf by Roy G’s owner Marc Buehler, Will Viloria “suffered a compound leg fracture and is awaiting surgery at Parkland.”
Viloria works as a bartender at Roy G’s, located on the corner of Cedar Springs and Throckmorton. He “faces a very long road to recovery, but we are determined to help him get there,” Buehler wrote on the GoFundMe page, which is intended to help Viloria pay his expenses while he is off work.
The accident
Video taken by Roy G’s security cameras of the incident in which Viloria (see below) was injured shows him stepping out from between two vehicles parked outside of JR’s Bar & Grill on Throckmorton Street. The video shows Viloria being hit by a black Mercedes-Benz hatchback, knocking him several feet through the air.
The video shows the driver of the Mercedes stopped for just few moments, rolling forward a few feet and again stopping momentarily before driving away toward the red light at Throckmorton and Cedar Springs.
A photo, taken from behind the vehicle by a passer-by moments after the collision, shows the Mercedes sitting at the red light and provides a clear view of the license plate.

According to a Dallas police report generated at about 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31, the vehicle is a 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class hatchback registered to Kimberlee L. Giddens of Cedar Hill.
Sources tell Dallas Voice a suspect was arrested at 3:03 a.m. Thursday morning, Jan. 1, by officers with the Dallas County Sheriff’s office, but we have received no confirmation that the person arrested was Kimberlee Giddens, only that the suspect vehicle is registered to her.
Dallas Voice has requested a copy of the incident report from Dallas Police and will update this post once we receive that information.
