The Dallas/Fort Worth HRC Steering Committee teamed with Equality Texas recently to provide training for in-district lobby visits at both the federal and state level. The groups’ goal, over the next few months, is to organize teams of three to four people to visit local state and federal legislators to discuss the importance of pro-equality measures. Volunteers kicked off lobbying efforts by meeting Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson’s district director, Rod Givens.
