Do you think the same-sex divorce case is a good thing or a bad thing for the LGBT community in Texas?

Aaron Rathbun — I think it’s unfortunate that any couple comes to separation, but as a possible precedent, it could strike down Texas’ discriminatory laws.

Bill Henges — I think it will help us. The East Coast and West Coast are like foreign countries. The center of the country is still taking the cattle to slaughter while the rest of the world is progressing.

Rick Vanderslice — Of course it’s good for Texas. Until the issue of equal marriage for all people is shown to be an issue of equal opportunities as well as responsibilities, you don’t have equality.

Daniel Cates — If nothing else, I think it will open up the conversation. For too long we’ve avoided the issue.

Thomas Corrigan — This is not just about gay marriage. It’s about Texas feeling it can do whatever it likes. Texas is part of the country. It’s not the Civil War anymore.
