Should the city cut the library budget and hours or raise taxes to keep the libraries open?
William Ross Heidemann — "Cut hours … I believe in knowledge repositories for the public, but when the public is struggling then I don’t think its fair to add additional burden through taxation."
Angela Johnson — "I liked the addition of e-books recently by the Dallas Public Library. I would hate to see things start getting whacked just when they seem to be catching up. Raise taxes."
Chad Bentley — "I never visit the library. However as a child and teen, the library was very important to me. I would rather see a raise in taxes than to see younger people suffer."
Jason Lance — "I say get rid of public libraries except for a chosen few. Maybe make places where people can use online libraries that are coin- or credit card-operated. No attendant required."
