As Republicans work their hardest to keep the drag queen down, drag entertainment barrels through like a locomotive to major venues across the country. We may be heading to an election with uncertainty, but major marquee queens are bringing their tours to the North Texas audiences to keep us strong as they werk and slay.

Last year, the divas all came to town: Beyonce, Taylor, Shania. Now it’s the year of the crowns.

Mark your calendars for these queens’ tours.

• Sapphira Cristál: The Cristál Ball Tour
Aug. 2 at the House of Blues.
Sapphira just finished her season on RuPaul’s Drag Race and is now already on the road. With a new album coming soon and a couple of singles already under her belt — “Enough” and “Get Your Flowers” — the opera-singing queen hit the road earlier this month. She brings a mix of comedy, music and real talk to her shows. Stay tuned for her interview with Dallas Voice before her tour makes it to Dallas.

Bob The Drag Queen

• Bob the Drag Queen: This is Wild Tour
Nov. 7 at the Majestic Theatre.
Bob’s ability to mix her stand-up comedy, crowd work and music in a perpetually entertaining style is what took her to the top of her season of Drag Race and, no doubt, what got her selected to join Madonna on her recent Celebration Tour. Now Bob is front and center in her own world tour that just wrapped up in Australia. “If you’ve ever laughed with me on the internet, wait till you see me in person,” Bob the Drag Queen in a press release about her tour.

After Drag Race, Bob went on to co-host HBO’s first unscripted show, We’re Here, and to host the Sibling Rivalry Podcast with Monet X Change. Her accolades include a Peabody Award, a GLAAD Media Award and a Queerty Award. Bob has also launched the cosmetics line BOMO Beauty, also with Monet, and has released both her debut EP Gay Barz and a new comedy special on YouTube.
Damn, girl! And you’re touring?
