The California Supreme Court, today at noon CST, posted its decision allowing Proposition 8, approved by voters last November, to stand. But the court said the approximately 18,000 same-sex marriages performed in California during the brief window last year when they were legal will remain valid.
Protesters have already gathered in the streets in front the court building, according to a text I just received, shaking their fingers and chanting “Shame on you.” Here in Dallas, Queer Liberaction is holding a protest march and rally, beginning at 7 p.m. at Cedar Springs and Oak Lawn. They will march to the TMC patio for the rally.

Join us to protest inequality at the national rally tonight!

TONIGHT 7 pm (Tuesday May 26th)
Corner of Oak Lawn and Cedar Springs
Sad day for the country, but a real slap in the face to conservatives who now have to live with the fact that there are 18,000 legally married same-sex couples in California.
