President Obama gives his final State of the Union address tonight

President Barack Obama gives his final State of the Union address tonight. Ahead of the outgoing president’s final address, here’s what you need to know:
It starts at 8 p.m. You can watch it on the major networks and cable channels, at WhiteHouse.gov or via NPR. You can find your local station here.
If you’re more into snark, the Twitterverse will certainly be lively. Follow the #SOTU feed for lively commentary from the press, elected officials and a very opinionated public.
The speech is typically an hour long. But if you need drinks to help you get through, there’s an official drinking game website to help you out.
Among President Obama’s guests are marriage equality hero Jim Obergefell ands Ryan Reyes, whose partner Larry Kaufman was killed in the Dec. 2 terrorist attack in San Bernardino, Ca.
Other guests include DREAMER immigration activist and veteran Oscar Vasquez of Fort Worth, Lisa Jaster of Houston, who was the first female graduate of the Army Ranger School, community college student Jennifer Brogdon and veteran Earl Smith, both of Austin. A full list can be found here.
An empty chair will also represent those who lost their lives to gun violence.
Rowan County, Ky. County Clerk Kim Davis and her attorney Mat Staver from Liberty Council will also be in attendance, as David reported earlier. While each senator and representative may invite a guest, members are not required to release their guests. It is not clear who invited Davis and Staver.
