Local television news outlets are reporting that police have arrested a 19-year-old Jordanian man for attempting to bomb a Dallas skyscraper.
Hosam Maher Husein Smadi, who is in the country illegally and is living in Italy, Texas was arrested after allegedly placing an inactive car bomb near Fountain Place at 1445 Ross Avenue in downtown Dallas. He has been charged with “attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction.”
