Above and below are screen grabs from video of the new LED lights on Reunion Tower during a test that was conducted on New Year’s Eve.
As if the tower’s phallic shape combined with the rainbow colors wasn’t gay enough, the new lights were installed by a gay-owned company, Wiedamark Lighting.
Mark Reed-Walkup, co-owner of Wiedamark, told Instant Tea he can’t discuss the project pending an official announcement from Hunt Consolidated Group, which owns the 55-story tower.
For now, check out the video from The Dallas Morning News by going here.
I had such a blast on NYE. Danced the night away with some of the most fun people in the city, still made to work at 530am. Dallas is starting to grow on me as a place to enjoy life as a gay man, but I always watch my back, I grew up here.
The lights were perfect for partiers at the huge Lights All Night electronic music dance party next door in the convention center. The crowd both Friday and Saturday nights was enormous and the tower and hotel lights outside were amazing.
i really wish they would hurry up and make it more permanent
