Ginger takes the prize for “Dog With the Greatest Grin.” She’s a 2-1/2-year-old pointer-heeler mix with brown splotches on her bright white coat. Ginger is friendly to the max, loves people and loves to play. It’s easy to tell she is one happy dog.
Ginger and many other dogs, cats, puppies and kittens are available for adoption from Dallas Animal Services, 1818 N. Westmoreland at I-30, just minutes west of Downtown Dallas. The shelter is open Monday-Saturday 11 a.m.-6:30 p.m. and Sundays noon-5 p.m. The cost to adopt is $85 for dogs and $55 for cats and includes spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchip and more.
