Punjab — or PJ for short — used to share a home with Annie, the dog that was thrown from her owners’ apartment window and then thrown into a Dumpster and left to die. PJ is very happy to meet anyone, is playful with other dogs and is crate trained, but he is still a puppy, so he would require some training. It doesn’t take much to make this guy happy, just show him a tennis ball, or a toy that makes noise, and you are set to play. Punjab is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and on heartworm preventative.
PJ and many other great dogs and cats are available for adoption from Operation Kindness, located at 3201 Earhart Drive, 1 street south of Keller Springs and 2 blocks west of Midway Road, in Carrollton. The no-kill shelter is open 7 days a week: Monday-Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. and Thursdays until 8 p.m. The cost to adopt is $110 for cats, $135 for kittens and dogs over 1 year, and $160 for puppies. The adoption cost includes the spay/neuter surgery, microchipping, vaccinations, heartworm test for dogs, leukemia and FIV test for cats, and more.
