Judy is a 2-year-old, black-and-tan Schnauzer mix, gentle and sweet-natured but somewhat shy. She is good with most other dogs. Judy is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and negative for heartworms.

Mariah is a 6-month-old, white-and-black shorthaired cat. She’s friendly, playful and curious. Mariah is affectionate and good with other cats. She’s spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and negative for FeLV and FIV.


Judy, Mariah and lots of other cats, kittens, dogs and puppies are available for adoption from the Dallas Animal Services Adoption Center, located at 1818 N. Westmoreland at I-30, just minutes west of Downtown Dallas. The shelter is open 7 days a week: Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and Sunday from 1 to 3:30 p.m. The cost to adopt is $85 for dogs and $55 for cats and includes spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchip and more.
