Say hello to Valentino, a joyful, toy-loving terrier mix who is just over a year old and weighs 63 pounds of pure love. He has a sleek white coat, floppy ears, dramatic black mask-like markings, signature pink nose and a constant tongue-out grin. But Valentino isn’t just a pretty face. He’s also incredibly smart, full of curiosity and eager to learn, with a mix of energy and mellow charm that makes him wonderfully balanced. He loves to play hard, then nap even harder, preferably right next to you with his head in your lap.
Valentino loves toys and snuggles and is the kind of loyal friend who will follow you from room-to-room to always be where the action and the cuddles are. Come meet Valentino at the Dallas Animal Care Center, 2400 Lone Star Drive, open noon-6 p.m., seven days a week. Like all pets from the SPCA of Texas, Valentino has been neutered and microchipped and is up to date on all his necessary vaccinations. Through Aug. 31, during “Clear the Shelters,” all adult pet adoption fees are only $50 and puppy/kitten adoption fees are $100.
