Meet Martha Mae. This 3-year-old pit bull terrier mix is one of the sweetest girls you’ll ever meet! She is a total sweetheart and just adores being around people. She loves to shower her friends with lots of kisses and leans against you for more attention. She also enjoys playing with toys like stuffed animals and tennis balls, but she’s an even bigger fan of being petted. This snuggly girl gets along with everyone she meets and is open to meeting other dog friends before you take her home. Like all pets at the SPCA of Texas, Martha Mae has been spayed and microchipped and is current on vaccinations. Through March 31, Martha Mae and all other adult dogs and cats are only $17 to adopt at our Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center and our Ellis County Animal Care Center. To meet Martha Mae, come visit her at our Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center any day between noon and 6 p.m.

Regular adoption fees are $150 for puppies and kittens aged 0-6 months and $75 for adult dogs and cats aged 6 months or older. Fee includes spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccinations, a heartworm test for dogs six months and older and a FIV/FeLV test for cats 4 months and older, initial flea/tick preventative and heartworm preventative, a microchip, 30 days of PetHealth Insurance provided by PetHealth, a free 14-day wellness exam with VCA Animal Hospitals, a rabies tag and a free leash. The Jan-Rees Jones Animal Care Center is open for adoptions every day from noon-6 p.m. Animals are available by walk-in on a first-come, first-served basis. Appointments are also available for select animals. Please browse available animals at SPCS.org/FindAPet and visit SPCA.org/DogAdopt to inquire about a dog or SPCA.org/CatAdopt to inquire about a cat.
