Meet Callie, a 2-year-old, brindle pit bull terrier mix weighing 50 pounds. She came to the SPCA of Texas when she was surrendered to an animal cruelty investigator on Oct. 4. She’s a loving, playful girl who just wants to be given loads of attention. She loves people and likes snuggling on the couch, squeaky toys and going for runs. She can get a little nervous sometimes, so she might benefit from a Thundershirt to keep her relaxed. She can sit, fetch, push doors with a push bar open on her own. She’s very good on a leash and responds promptly if you call her name. She’d prefer to be the star of the show, but if you have another dog, you can bring it for a meet-and-greet to see if they get along. She’d prefer older, athletic kids who love to run around and play and would do best in a home without small children.
