Parking garage on Cedar Springs collapses

The parking garage at Renaissance Towers at 3432 Cedar Springs Road between Oak Lawn and Turtle Creek collapsed. According to Dallas Fire and rescue, no one was injured, but because of the size of the complex, they are still contacting people who live there.
There are two towers with about 600 units that use the parking garage.
The garage is seven stories and the collapse began at the top with debris falling through to the bottom of the structure.
The area that collapsed was piled with dirt and bricks for some construction. DFR wasn’t sure if the collapse was because of the weight in that area or because of the intense rain.
