From Washington Post:
“The liberal onslaught of malicious attacks against [Miss California] Carrie Prejean for expressing her opinion is despicable,” said Palin in a statement. Palin added that she spoke to Prejean soon after the beauty queen said publicly that she believed she had lost the Miss USA competition due to her answer to blogger — and contest judge — Perez Hilton that marriage is between a man and a woman.
“What I find so remarkable is that these politically-motivated attacks fail to show that what Carrie and I believe is also what President Obama and Secretary Clinton believe — marriage is between a man and a woman,” Palin said.
This is what pointing and laughing at the LGBT movement looks like.
“Silly faggots, even your president, vp and secretary of state don’t believe in your rights!”
Marriage, yes we want the rights of the married, but must we use the same word? It’s all just semantics. Let’s come up with a new word (because we gays are SOOOO creative) like “meld” as do the King and Queen in pinocle, which I know nothing about, but just read it in the dictionary. Or espouse, and come up with OTHER names than husband or wife, which I would feel very silly calling my woman a “wife”, which I believe, has enough pejorative connations for me to WANT to leave it to the heteros. Look, we fought for benefits for “domestic partners”, and STRAIGHT people are using those to their advantage. Those who are unwilling to commit, but still want those benefits. So why don’t we beat ’em at the silly semantics, silly faggots, and come up with a different word (set of words) to continue to celebrate our differences, and not have non-committal heteros glom on to the hardearned fruits of our labor? All creative contributions now being accepted…in order that we may form a more PERFECT union, whatever the hell we end up calling it! 😉 phredd
I have to agree with Blake….Obama….WTF are you? The time is NOW to lead. I am very disappointed in his leadership (lack thereof) on gay issues.
Barrack, Hillary and Joe need to speak up now against discrimination.
