A Night Out at the Round-Up Saloon and fundraiser for Youth First Texas will be held in conjunction with a national conference for those who work in the fields of college student orientation, transition and retention.

The National Orientation Directors Association’s 30th annual conference is expected to draw 800 to 1,000 people from the U.S. and Canada to Dallas Oct. 25-30, according to Rob Anderson, chair of NODA’s GLBTA Network. The conference will be at the Hyatt Regency, 300 Reunion Blvd. W.

The GLBTA Network, which has 50 to 75 members, will host its Night Out on Monday, Oct. 29, Anderson said. The Night Out, which typically draws 125 to 200 people, will be preceded by an all-ages dinner at 6:30 p.m. at Hunky’s, 4000 Cedar Springs Road. Both the dinner and the party at the Round-Up, 3912 Cedar Springs Road, are open to the public.

The GLBTA Network will be selling rainbow ribbons and collecting donations. For more information on NODA, go to www.nodaweb.org.
