Louisiana appellants Jon Robicheaux and Derek Pinton
Jon Robicheaux and Derek Pinton told Erin Moore they are feeling positive about the oral arguments in the Louisiana case. In that case, they are the appellants because they lost at the district court level. Mississippi and Texas are the appellants in the second and third cases being heard this morning because discrimination against same-sex couples was declared unconstitutional.
Lambda Legal’s Tom Warnke said Judge Patrick Higginbotham is indeed the swing vote and was asking tough questions of both sides.
The Mississippi case is currently being heard.
