After spending a few days in Palm Springs working on a story (I know, I know — hard life), I rushed back to Dallas for three reasons: To see “Rent” on Saturday (magical to see original cast members Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp), for a first date with a new guy and to have dinner with Ted Allen of “Queer Eye” and “Food Detectives” at Taste of Addison on Friday. I sat at a table with local foodies Elisabeth Petty (Lisa, now that we’re friends) and vegan blogger Eddie G. Lisa posted our event here, and even said some very complimentary things about me, although she did NOT give me a photo credit for the pic I took of her and Ted. Jus’ sayin’.
And she’s right: Ted’s a nice guy, kinda shy but friendly… and six days older than me! I think we both look good for 71.
