In the Dossier section of today’s Dallas Voice, Daniel Kusner gave us an update on local gay porn actor Mason Wyler, who a few months back filed a report with Dallas police alleging he’d been raped. As part of his update, Kusner asked me to call DPD to find out whether more information was available. Yesterday, the only thing police could tell me was that it didn’t appear charges would be filed in the case. However, DPD Senior Cpl. Kevin Janse did some more digging and got back to me this morning with this:
“That case was closed because the complainant is not wanting to participate in the investigation,†Janse said. “Therefore we cannot prove that any of this really occurred. He basically made a report, then decided he didn’t want to talk to the detectives or anything, so they closed it.”
Why does this photo remind me of George W. Bush in Crawford? I expect to see Condi Rice wandering around in the background.
Looks like he’s a huge fan of safe sex too on that site!
Mason’s hot but he better start being careful about what he wishes for. Next time it might reallly be a rape and then just like the boy who cried wolf no one will believe him or give a care.
I don’t think anyone cares now. All this business has completely soured me and others on Mason.
He stuck a pretty defensive post on his blog about this article. I can believe the rape happened, but I find this statement irresponsible and reprehensible.
“Some people voiced the opinion that it was my duty, my responsibility to put the rapist behind bars in order to safeguard others. It’s not. If you participate in risky behavior then sometimes there are consequences. People need to learn that for themselves.”
