Prism Health North Texas this week announced that applications are open now through Wednesday, Oct. 7, for contestants in the 21st annual Miss LifeWalk Pageant set for Sunday, Nov. 2.

Contestants must be 21 or older, and those whose applications are accepted will receive a $200 stipend to prepare their performance and presentations. The winner will receive a $500 cash prize and become “an ambassador for PHNTX through October 2026 to promote community healthcare, safer sex, knowing your status and being PrEPred,” according to a press release announcing the application deadline.

Applications can be submitted online at the PHNTX website.

Originally created as a fundraiser for PHNTX’s annual LifeWalk, Miss LifeWalk is dedicated to raising funds that support the organization’s LGBTQIA+ healthcare programs, resources and staff, the press release explained. Funds raised will help provide care to people who have lost or are at risk of losing their health insurance, expand access to primary care, behavioral health, sexual health and HIV services.

This year’s pageant is set for Sunday, Nov. 2, from 4-6 p.m. at The Rose Room inside S4, 3911 Cedar Springs Road. It will be hosted by Marsha Dimes and will include performances, talent showcases and presentations from each Miss LifeWalk contestant as well as performances by special guests including past winners and supporters. Miss LifeWalk 2024 Shantaé Morgan will be on hand to perform and to crown her successor.

Tickets, available now online at LifeWalk.org, are $25 for general admission access, $50 for general admission with guaranteed seating and $100 for VIP access which includes two drink tickets, early entry and recognition as a VIP supporter of PHNTX.
Raffle ticket bundles of 10 are available for $20. More information about sponsorship opportunities is also available on the website, with all proceeds invested in PHNTX’s essential programming for the community.

According to the press release, PHNTX serves more than 17,000 patients across 10 North Texas counties every year, providing a full range of services including primary care, dental care, behavioral healthcare, HIV care and prevention, women’s healthcare, pediatrics and pharmacy services.

“The community’s support is essential to provide PHNTX’s ‘under one roof’ model meaning patients can see their provider, fill prescriptions, and access support services all in one trusted place,” the press release said.
