We all cheered in December when lawmakers in Mexico City passed a law legalizing same-sex marriage and adoption by same-sex couples. Now comes word that Mexico’s attorney general, Arturo Chavez, has lodged an appeal with the country’s highest court to overturn the marriage and adoption equality law.
Chavez claims the law is “anti-constitutional.”
But supporters of the law say Chavez is waaaaaaayyyyy overstepping his bounds. Mexico City Mayor Marcelo Ebrard says Chavez has made “a grave mistake” and that it isn’t the federal AG’s job to decide the capital’s laws. And leftist deputy David Razu, the legislator that initiated the law, says Chavez’s challenge has no basis in law and goes against rights and freedoms.

Gay marriage
My concern is that more and more gay men get STD. It seems that gay men is easier to get an STD.
According to the report from the largest STD dating site == Positivefish.com ==(if I spell the site correctly), the gay subscribers increased continually. Most of them are sexy.
Really? Your concern is more people getting STDs? Is that because married heterosexuals are more likely to get STDs than unmarried heterosexuals? Sounds like another asinine argument used by the Prop 8 defense and that we should be looking at eliminating opposite marriage too, then. The more the right wing argues against same-sex marriage, the more reasons they give to allow it.
Ay carumba!. Go ahead and do it- bring maricas into legal wedlock in macho Mexico. Think there are kidnappings and violence now-this is asking for trouble. The first chance that some wealthy homosexual couple is alone and in the open they will be kidnapped – probably sodomized (they might like that part) and have their monies robbed and their lives taken and the general public will condone it and the police will naturally bring corruption to a new level .Great idea!
