Mathew Dominguez
Content Marketing Coordinator
I grew up in San Angelo, TX where I also attended Angelo State University and earned my Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and my Masters of Arts in Communication Studies. After spending most of my life so far in that town, I decided it was time to leave the overly conservative nature of my hometown and head to Dallas. About two months later I began working at the Dallas Voice as the Content Marketing Coordinator.
In my spare time, I enjoy checking out new coffee shops and restaurants, reading and journaling, hitting the gym, taking naps, watching some of my favorite TV shows and movies like RuPaul’s Drag Race, Abbott Elementary, Family Guy, the Harry Potter series, Scream and The Craft, hanging out with friends, and watching a Cowboys game (even if I usually end up disappointed with the outcome).
Moving to Dallas and getting out of San Angelo was always one of my goals and I’ve always believed that its never too late to chase your goals. If I could tell anything to younger members of the LGBTQ community who are still wanting to leave their hometown, I would say “DON’T GIVE UP!!” Seriously, just don’t.
