Dallas police are reporting that a man’s body was found inside a burned apartment on Arroyo Avenue, near Wycliff Avenue and the Dallas North Tollway:
This morning, the Dallas Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 2600 Arroyo Ave. Apt. #104. After the fire was extinguished, a 32 year old male was found inside the apartment deceased due to homicidal violence. Witnesses mentioned to officers that the victims vehicle was seen leaving at some point during the morning and was possibly being driven by several individuals. That vehicle description was broadcast to officers throughout the city and at 10:15 am, a one vehicle accident was reported at 1112 S. Ewing Ave in which the victim’s vehicle was involved. Three individuals (two adults and one juvenile) were detained and brought in for questioning. No charges have been filed as photo lineups still have to be shown to the witnesses. The victims name will not be released until later today.
We’ll provide more info as it becomes available.
If that is the apt complex I am thinking of, I am shocked they haven’t had any other murders there before.
Another gay man gets brutally murdered and what are gay people in the Dallas area doing? Nothing. The heterosexual police have the exact prejudices these haterosexual killers have; gay people are worth less, heterosexuals have the right to determine our lives. THE NEXT TIME YOU HEAR ABOUT A GAY PERSON MURDERED WATCH HOW THE HETEROSEXUAL POLICE CLASSIFY IT AS A ROBBERY.
Actually if there the ones im thinking of savannah/oaklawn heights apartments.. Just around jan.2009..a man was gunned down leaving his apartment dead. I think it takes more then the dallas police department it takes the innitative of the residents that reside at that apartment complex to get more active in demanding the management complex personell to enact a means for residents to be safe in their own home and not just expect monthly rents..I feel in order for the police to respond accordingly..the property management, and residents must be held to some scrunity as well do to the fact that individuals weither gay or straight look at options for moving into a location based on imenities, safety, and strong convincing renting points from management and that only at the time of leasing an apartment after viewing can actually see the decievement, and unfortunately..not like in this case.. move with a broken lease, reletting charge,or continue to reside until the day you need that unaswered call for assistance from management and/or dallas police to help making your neighborhood safer and it doesn’t come.. I don’t think it has anything to do with sexuality just ignorance for thinking and not expecting something like this could happen in any area, and waiting in this particular area unfortunately as these apartment management personells did …. intentionally or not “inviting it”.. without the management evoking safety as spoken #1 concern for future residents straight or gay before,or after a lease was even signed !!!!
