Cutie couple Gregory and Jonathan have entered Crate and Barrel’s $100,000 Ultimate Wedding Contest that includes help by “A–list planner extraordinaire Jo Gartin.” In a 100 words or less, they tell their boy meets boy story and what their perfect wedding would be like.
It’s all very cute and fun but what makes their entry most interesting is their popularity in the contest. By the looks of it, their entry (out of what seems like a gajillion) is in second place with 15,282 votes behind Mary and Densey who have 20,496 votes. While typing this, each had gone up a few votes already which kinda makes the contest an exciting one.
Gregory and Jonathan aren’t the only same-sex couple in the running. Two others are closing in on the 3,000 mark. It is likely that the gents and possible for those two couples to make it to the next round of finalists. The site says, “Fifty couples will be chosen by the public to move on to the next round – heartfelt declarations, funny stories and grassroots marketing plans are welcome. In April 2010, a panel of Jo Gartin, along with Crate and Barrel and Daily Candy reps, will select the winner.”
