Nearly 60 volunteers from Dallas Tavern Guild clubs, sponsors and their friends gathered to assemble 1,000 gift bags for seven service agencies in the Dallas community as part of the Tavern Guild’s annual Holiday Gift Project. The agencies include AIDS Services of Dallas, AIDS Arms, the AIDS wing of Parkland Hospital, Legacy Cottage, AIDS Interfaith Network, the Resource Center of Dallas and the Food Pantry. Thanks to donations from vendors, businesses and individuals the project was a complete success and was completed in less than three hours, including the deliveries to the agencies, according to Tavern Guild Executive Director Michael Doughman.
