Resource Center looking for 50/50 sponsors for monthly Gay Bingo
The Resource Center of Dallas is seeking 50/50 sponsors for its monthly Gay Bingo fundraiser from February through November 2009. Interested groups must send a representative to a drawing in the Resource Center’s Rainbow Room at 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 6.
Groups selected as 50/50 sponsors will receive half the proceeds from raffle ticket sales during Gay Bingo. For more information, call Henry Ramirez at 214-528-0144.
Urban Dog holding ‘Santa Can’ Days to benefit Legacy Founders Cottage
Urban Dog Coffee, 2720 Oak Lawn Ave., Ste. A, is joining with Legacy Counseling Center to present the "Santa Can" through the month of December at Urban Dog Coffee where items such as paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, twin sheets, adult non-pull-up diapers, trash sacks, laundry detergent and grocery store gift cards can be dropped of to donate to Legacy.
Women’s Chorus of Dallas presenting ‘Jubilation’ concert Dec. 14 at SMU
The Women’s Chorus of Dallas presents its annual holiday concert, this year titled "Jubilation," Sunday, Dec. 14 at 2 p.m. in Caruth Auditorium on the campus of Southern Methodist University. Advance tickets are $20. Tickets at the door are $25. The Women’s Chorus will perform with a special guest children’s choir.

Grace United Methodist plans special services to celebrate Advent, Christmas
Grace United Methodist Church, 4105 Junius, will hold two special worship services to celebrate the Advent and Christmas seasons, both featuring special music and both taking place in the historic 1903 Grace Church sanctuary, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
On Dec. 14, the Sanctuary Choir, soloists and instrumentalists will perform "A Day for Dancing" by Lloyd Pfautsch during the Sunday morning service at 10:50 a.m. This cantata features Medieval carols told in Christmas lessons.
A candlelight "Family Christmas Service" will be held Dec. 24 at 10 p.m. This service, which will feature carols, scripture and special music, will conclude with worshipers singing "Silent Night" by candlelight.

Valiente Holiday Party set for Dec. 18 at Havana
Valiente will hold its annual Holiday Party Thursday, Dec. 18, at Havana, 4006 Cedar Springs Road, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Attire is holiday casual.
Awards for Valiente Member of the Year and Valiente Community Partner of the Year will be presented during the party.
