Out & Equal Wine Tasting fundraiser set
Out & Equal DFW will hold its third annual Wine Tasting fundraiser for workplace equality education and training scholarships on Thursday, August 27, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Times Ten Cellars, 6324 Prospect Ave.
The event, based on the theme "One Night in Bollywood," will include a tasting of a variety of wines, assorted cheeses and other appetizers, plus music by Bollywood Beats with singer/DJ Sameer Jaffer. There will also be a short ceremony recognizing individuals and organizations that have provided support for Out & Equal.
Individual tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door. Space is limited.
Out & Equal is a national, non-profit organization headquartered in San Francisco that champions safe and equitable workplaces for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.
RCD holding drawing for 50/50 sponsors
Resource Center Dallas will hold a drawing for 2010 Gay Bingo 50/50 sponsors from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 23.
Each group can enter its name in a drawing for each month from February through November. A representative from the group must be present at the meeting.
The drawing will be in the Rainbow Room at the Resource Center, 2701 Reagan St. in Dallas.
