Faith Community Church names Darnell as new pianist
David Darnell has been named as the new pianist for Faith Community Church of Dallas, church officials have announced.
Darnell, who started taking piano lessons at the age of 9, was playing in a church by age 10 and has been playing for churches ever since.
“My prayer is that my ministry of music through the keyboard or in song will give all glory and praise to our Heavenly Father and that it will foster a time of worship and praise from the heart of each individual present,” Darnell said.
Prior to joining Faith Community Church of Dallas, Darnell served as church musician and minister of music at several churches in Texas, Florida and overseas. He also has accompanied various gospel groups and soloists.
FCC of Dallas is independent of any denomination, affirming and welcoming to all people who wish to develop a personal relationship with Christ, church officials said. The church is self-governed by the body of believers, and the church’s structure is patterned after New Testament guidelines.
