CoH hosting adoption, foster care seminar for LGBT potential parents
The Cathedral of Hope will host an adoption and foster care seminar on Sunday, Nov. 15 at 6 p.m. as part of its Sunday Evenings at the Cathedral program. Targeted at LGBT people, the seminar will provide potential parents with vital information about how to work within the child placement agency system. The seminar is free and open to all. The Cathedral of Hope is located at 5910 Cedar Springs Road.

Cece Cox keynotes 2009 North Texas Women’s Summit
The Texas Women’s Summit, sponsored by the Texas Diversity Council, takes place at Southern Methodist University on Nov. 19. Resource Center Dallas’ Cece Cox will present the keynote address at a brunch. She will speak about how she has gotten to this point in her career, from business owner to attorney to associate executive director in a non-profit organization, as well as being a wife and mother. North Texas GLBT Chamber holds Tabletop Expo at Hotel Palomar
The North Texas GLBT Chamber holds their final event of the year, Tabletop Expo, at Hotel Palomar on Nov. 17. Members will display their goods and services
To encourage attendees to visit each exhibitor, each person will be given an expo "passport card" to be validated by each exhibitor. Completed cards will be entered into a drawing for prizes including a roundtrip ticket on Southwest Airlines.

GAIN presenting talk for seniors on avoiding identity theft
Resource Center Dallas’ GAIN (GLBT + Aging Interest Network) will hold a presentation on Thursday, Nov. 19 on "Protecting Yourself from Identity Theft." The free program starts at 6:30 p.m. and will be held at Resource Center Dallas, 2701 Reagan St.

The program features David Leopard, a corporate security executive and former FBI agent. A question-and-answer period will follow the presentation
 
Tickets available now for TWCD’s ‘Gifts & Glitter’ fundraising event
The Women’s Chorus of Dallas hosts its annual "Gifts & Glitter" fundraiser, featuring a silent auction, casino gaming and a performance by the chorus, on Saturday, Nov. 21 at 6 p.m. at the Addison Conference Center.
