Stuart Milk to keynote brunch celebrating YFT’s 10th anniversary
Youth First Texas celebrates its 10th anniversary with the "Decade of Difference" brunch on Sunday, Nov. 15.
The event will feature keynote speaker Stuart Milk, nephew of LGBT rights pioneer Harvey Milk.
The brunch, which will be held at the home of Doug Haloftis and Trent Hagler, will include a breakfast and champagne/bloody mary buffet and entertainment. It will be at the home of Doug Haloftis and Trent Hagler and tickets are $100.

Resounding Harmony community chorus to perform Sunday at CoH
Resounding Harmony, Dallas’s newest community chorus, will be the special musical guest at Cathedral of Hope’s morning services on Sunday, Nov. 8.
Services start at the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. and are free and open to all.
The mixed-voice chorus, under the direction of Dr. Tim Seelig, will sing two songs — James Eakin’s setting of "The Prayer of St. Francis," and "We are One" with music and lyrics by Brian Tate — as a preview of their fall concert, "Songs of Harvest," scheduled for Nov. 22 at 8 p.m. at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center. Tickets to that concert will be on sale at the Cathedral of Hope of Hope following both services and also may be purchased at ResoundingHarmony.org.
The Cathedral of Hope is located at 5910 Cedar Springs Road.
Gay Games representatives to visit Woody’s bar in Dallas Monday
Two representatives from Cologne, Germany will be in Dallas on Nov. 9 to talk about the Gay Games that will be held in that city from July 31-Aug. 7, 2010.
CEO Annette Watcher and Stephen Collette will be at Woody’s Sports and Video Bar on Cedar Springs on Monday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. to talk to people interested in attending the event. At 8 p.m. they will make a video presentation about the logistics and the city.
On Nov. 10, they will be at Buli on Cedar Springs from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. to talk to anyone not able to attend on Monday evening.
Team Dallas organizer Jere Becker said the games are "open to anyone. You just need to register."
