RCD, Chamber offer jobs board
Resource Center Dallas and the North Texas GLBT Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Jobing.com, are launching a new job board intended to give members of the LGBT community a new tool in their job hunting arsenal, Chamber and RCD officials have announced.
The job board is an outgrowth of a previous program developed by Texas Instruments for use by the Chamber and its workforce development partner Resource Center Dallas. Job seekers and employers can access the job board through the Resource Center’s Web site at RCDallas.org and clicking on the link on the home page, or the Chamber’s Web site at GLBTChamber.org and clicking on the "GLBT Jobs" button.
Toast to Life chairs named
Dr. David Lee and Dee Pennington have been named co-chairs for the 12th annual Toast To Life fundraiser for Resource Center Dallas, to be held April 17 at the Fashion Industries Gallery in downtown Dallas. Lee is an internal medicine and HIV specialist with Uptown Physicians Group in Dallas. He serves as the medical director for AIDS Services of North Texas in Denton and the Lone Star Ride Fighting AIDS.
Pennington is the president and chief executive officer of the Dallas Credit Union and has served in that role since 2004. That same year, she was the grand marshal of the Alan Ross Texas Freedom Parade. Pennington also hosts Chick Happy Hour, a women’s monthly social event.
Lee and Pennington will be formally introduced as co-chairs at the Toast To Life Sponsor Party on Friday, Feb. 19. at the home of Dr. Steven Pounders and Jimmy O’Reilly. The Toast To Life Preview Party will be held March 11 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Third Space, 1608-C Main St.

RCD hosting CRO Webcast
Resource Center Dallas, 2701 Reagan St., will serve as a host site for a Webcast from the Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections, or CRO, on Saturday, Feb. 20, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The Webcast will be a two-hour summary of the conference featuring new information related to HIV/AIDS treatment side effects, prevention issues, new anti-retroviral drugs and hepatitis treatment issues. It is free and open to the public.
