COH holding job search seminar
The Cathedral of Hope and Peace House Dallas will present "Exploring Job Search Tips and Techniques" on Monday, Jan. 25, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The daylong seminar will be led by motivational speaker, author and career expert Bill Fenson and will help people determine what changes might be needed to match a career plan to the significant changes happening in the economy.

EMT plans Holocaust memorial
Equality March Texas will hold a "Holocaust Candlelight March" on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 7 p.m. The event will begin at the fountain at Oak Lawn and Armstrong Parkway, and travel along the sidewalks of Oak Lawn Avenue to the Legacy of Love Monument at Oak Lawn/Cedar Springs. The event is free and open to the public.

The march will honor the more than 50,000 gay men and women who were rounded up and killed during the Holocaust of World War II and to bring attention to proposed legislation in Uganda that could lead to the incarceration and even execution of LGBT people in that country.

RCD sets trans counseling group
Resource Center Dallas is launching a transgender group counseling program Feb. 16. The 10-session group will focus on helping members set realistic life goals for education, career and relationships and will help each member explore gender identity issues and live more comfortably within their identities.

The group will cost $10 per session and will meet weekly from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Membership will be limited to the transgender community.

LSR benefit breakfast set
The Lone Star Ride Fighting AIDS presents a fundraising breakfast on Saturday, Feb. 13 at On the Border on Knox Street. Anyone interested in supporting the Lone Star Ride is invited to join riders and crew from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for a buffet offering scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy, muffins, Danish and more, with coffee, tea, milk orange juice and soda to drink, for only $10.

On the Border is located at 3131 Knox St. in Dallas.
