Fruit Bowl benefits HRC

Rock’n Bowl is this year’s spin on the annual Fruit Bowl tournament.

Dress like a country or pop star and come  ready to bowl. Prizes will be awarded for costumes, as well as bowling scores and team spirit. Patti Le Plae Safe is the hostess.

A silent auction and a special prize game all help raise funds for Human Rights Campaign.

“I can’t wait for this event,” said marketing committee member Lori Walker. “It’s great that they have made it family-friendly and an all-around good time for everyone! Don’t forget your blue suede shoes!”

Bowling takes place in two waves. Family wave registration begins at 10:30 a.m. Registration for an individual bowler is $25, $100 for a team of four and $125 for a team of five. Bowling goes from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Wave 2 registration is at 1:30 p.m. with bowling from 2–4 p.m. Individual bowlers pay $30, $120 for teams of four and $130 for teams of five.

Fruit Bowl takes place on Aug. 12 at 300 Dallas, 3805 Belt Line Road, Addison.
