Table captian sales under way for 31st annual Black Tie Dinner
Table captain sales have begun for the 31st Black Tie Dinner that will take place on Nov. 3 at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel.
The table captain purchases 10 seats at a table and is responsible for selecting the table, inviting nine others to participate, collecting money for the seats and distributing the tickets.
Black Tie Dinner benefits 19 local organizations and one national group, the Human Rights Campaign.
Up to 3,000 are expected to attend.

2nd annual North Texas Pride Party set for Saturday in Lewisville
The Second Annual North Texas Pride party is slated for Saturday, June 23, at Tierney’s Tavern, 208 E. Main St., Lewisville.
Proceeds will benefit C.U.R.E. and Health Services of North Texas.
Entertainment will be provided by the Ducado Vega Band 6–8 p.m. and DJ Fierce 9 p.m.–midnight. Tickets are $15 at the door.
An afterparty takes place at the nearby Best Western Plus, at 330 E. Corporate Drive, Lewisville.
