Last night Indigo gal Amy Ray flexed her mighty punk side inside the intimate Pontiac Garage at House of Blues. Less than 150 die-hard fans turned out for an awesome lo-fi show. She even gave a “homecoming” shout-out to George and Laura.
In rock-solid fashion, North Carolina’s lesbian queercore trio The Butches (Kaia Wilson, Allison Martlew and Melissa York) along with bassist Greg Griffith helped Ray course through her three solo albums.
Shifting between electric and acoustic guitars, and even mandolin, Ray was like Jimmy Page’s kick-ass sister. Here are some more shots.
