Fundraiser benefits AIDS Interfaith Network; event held in connection with Big D Classic Bowling Tournament that will draw 160 competitors

The Big D Classic Bowling Tournament will sponsor the “Lightning Bowl” at USA Bowl tonight.

The Lightning Bowl is a fundraiser for the AIDS Interfaith Network, and it is open to the public. The fundraiser is held in conjunction with the group’s bowling tournament this weekend.

About 160 bowlers are expected to arrive in Dallas from across the country for the tournament. Many of them are expected to be on hand Friday during the fundraiser to socialize and practice before the tournament begins,.

“We’re hoping to put on a good time for everybody,” said David Dupuy, a coordinator of the tournament.

The group has reserved 30 lanes for the fundraiser. It will include entertainment and prizes.
