LifeWalk 2011

AIDS Arms LifeWalk has announced its 2012 partner agencies. For its 22nd annual walk, there will be 10 organizations joining AIDS Arms to raise money in support of their client programs.

AIDS LifeWalk’s 2012 partners are AIDS Interfaith Network, AIDS Services of Dallas, Bryan’s House, Greg Dollgener Memorial AIDS Fund, Happy Nia Dance & Theater Company, Legal Hospice of Texas, Resource Center Dallas, Turtle Creek Chorale, The Women’s Chorus of Dallas and Youth First Texas.

In a statement, LifeWalk wrote, “Each partner provides unique services to the community of HIV positive men, women and youth ranging from temporary housing to child care to legal services, emergency financial assistance, food, dental services and cultural events that add stability, quality and depth to chronically and terminally ill individuals’ lives.”

Each of the organizations can increase the amount of money they raise recruiting individual and team walkers using LifeWalk’s trainings, event collateral information and participating in a variety of pre-walk events.

“LifeWalk is a great way to have lots of fun while helping thousands of people live more successfully with HIV and AIDS in our community,” AIDS Arms Executive Director Raeline Nobles said. “There is no doubt that by working together and sharing resources we save dollars and time while raising funds to help all of our programs survive and thrive on behalf of our community.”

LifeWalk is a 5K run/walk scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 7, starts and ends at Lee Park. A festival in the park includes music, food, games and vendor booths.
